Peanut Butter Fudge Oatmeal Cookies

what you need
  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 6 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 3 cups quick cook oatmeal
make it
Combine, butter, sugar, milk and cocoa over medium heat stir. When it comes to a full boil continue to stir for 2 more minutes, it should form a soft ball in cold water at that time.

Remove from heat and add peanut butter. Continue to stir until peanut butter is dissolved. Then add oatmeal one cup at a time.

Place heaping tablespoons on waxed paper to cool. Keep in container in fridge. Very rich and good!

Rated  by mbbowen on 3/8/2005 I've been making these for over 25 years. They are one of my all-time favorites! They are very rich. I have never stored them in the refrigerator, though; I think that step isn't necessary. Watch out: they are addictive!
