Makes: 15-20 servings Total Time: 3 hr 30 min
Category: Appetizers Sub Category: Other Hot Appetizers

what you need
  • 2 bottles Kraft Original BBQ Sauce
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 medium jar grape jelly
  • 1 can pineapple tidbits, drained
  • 3 packages Little Smokies, sliced in half
make it
In a crock-pot, combine BBQ sauce, brown sugar, grape jelly and pineapple tidbits. Turn crock-pot on low and with a wooden spoon, stir to combine. (The jelly will melt as the BBQ sauce heats.)

Meanwhile, slice smokies in half. Preheat a large skillet and then cook smokies until they are hot.

With a slotted spoon, remove smokies from skillet and place in crock-pot. Stir with wooden spoon. Cook on low for about 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
It's very important to cook smokies in a large skillet before placing in crock-pot. This step allows the smokies to render the grease they contain. I cut them in half because they are easier to eat with a cocktail fork and are just the right amount for a mouthful.
