Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies

what you need
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup soft butter
  • 1/2 cup mashed bananas
  • 1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted in microwave
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
make it
Combine sugar, butter, bananas and melted chocolate chips. Beat until fluffy, add egg, and mix until blended. Mix all dry ingredients and add to above wet mixture.

Drop by heaping teaspoon on ungreased baking pan. Bake at 350 for 5 to 8 minutes until cookies are set. Cool on cooling rack.
This is my favorite recipe to use when I have over ripe bananas. My husband likes soft cookies, so this fills the bill!!

I have made this for our school cookie sales and it is always the first to sell.
