what you need
  • 1 deep chocolate cake mix (any chocolate, devils' food, etc.)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 stick unsalted butter softened or margarine
  • 12 oz. Cool Whip, fat free is excellent
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla
  • 2 pkg. (8 oz. each) Philadelphia Cream Cheese, may use low fat or fat free are excellent
  • Chocolate syrup
make it
Mix cake mix, eggs, water, butter or margarine until thick and smooth. Pour into sheet pan, or two 8-inch or 9-inch pans, may also make cupcakes.

Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes. Cool completely.

In large bowl mix, Cool Whip slightly thawed, vanilla, and softened cream cheese, until thick and fluffy. Spread over cooled cake. Drizzle with chocolate syrup. Enjoy!
Makes an ordinary cake something special!
