what you need
  • CAKE-
  • 8 regular size Milky Way candy bars
  • 2 sticks margarine or butter, divided
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 1/2 cups regular flour
  • 1 1/4 cups buttermilk
  • 1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • ICING-
  • 3 regular size Milky Way candy bars
  • 1 stick margarine or butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1-2 cups sifted powdered sugar
make it
Melt 8 candy bars with 1 stick margarine in a double boiler. Cream together 1 stick margarine. Add eggs to sugar, and add baking soda. Alternately add flour and buttermilk to the sugar mixture. Now add melted candy mixture to flour mixture and finally add pecans if desired. Pour into a bundt type pan and bake 70 minutes in a 325 degree preheated oven.

Melt in double boiler 3 Milky Way candy bars with 1 stick of margarine. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and when candy is melted add and blend well sifted powdered sugar until you get a thick icing for the cake. Cool for about 20 minutes then pour the icing over the cake.
This is a delicious dessert, however even the best chocolate lover can't do a big piece. Great holiday cake.
