Makes: 8 servings Total Time: 45 min
Category: Dinner Entrees Sub Category: Beef Entrees

what you need
  • 1 lb. ground sirloin (or turkey)
  • 1 can (15 oz) seasoned tomato sauce for pasta
  • 2 cans (7.5 oz. each) refrigerated biscuits, quartered
  • 1 1/4 cups (5 oz.) shredded pizza cheese
make it
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cook meat in a large skillet over medium high heat until browned, stirring to crumble. Drain well, return to pan. Stir in tomato sauce. Add quartered biscuits; stir gently.

Spoon mixture into a 13x9-inch baking dish coated with cooking spray.

Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese; bake an additional 10 minutes or until biscuits are done. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Puffy, bite-sized biscuits create the bubble in this cheesy deep-dish pizza casserole.

Rated  by a cook on 7/9/2006 We alway like this, but when we make it we have found that we like to add additional topping into it like sausage instead of hamburger, onions, mushrooms and other pizza toppings. It is also good made with ham and pineapple, just drain the juice very well.
