Makes: 6 servings Total Time: 1 hr 10 min
Category: Dinner Entrees Sub Category: Beef Entrees

what you need
  • 1-1/2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 3/4 cup long grain white rice
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 can condensed cream of tomato soup
  • 1 can condensed tomato bisque soup
  • 1-1/2 cups water
make it
In a large bowl, mix ground beef, rice, onion, salt and pepper together. Form the mixture into balls approximately 1-1/2" diameter each. Place meat balls in a 2 quart pot.

Mix soup and water together, pour over the meatballs in the pot; stir. Let mixture come to a boil; reduce heat and cover.

Gently stir occasionally; remove from heat after 50-60 minutes - or when rice is done - and serve.
One of our family favorites, we usually have green beans and a fresh lettuce/veggie salad with this.

Rated  by a cook on 6/9/2006 Very good recipe - I added a few extra spices & such because being pregnant my taste buds are set to bland!! But otherwise great! My husband loved, kids, not so much...but I thought was wonderful! Thanks for sharing! Laura from SD! :)
