what you need
  • 2 well trimmed 1 1/4"-thick boneless sirloin steaks, about 14 oz. each
  • Spice Rub:
  • 1 Tbsp. each Old Bay seasoning and light-brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. each garlic powder, onion powder and ground cumin
make it
Heat an outdoor grill, stovetop grill, or broiler. Cut steaks in half crosswise. Mix Spice Rub ingredients; rub on both sides of steak.

Grill or broil steaks 5 minutes on each side for med.-rare.

Remove to plates; let rest 5 minutes before serving.

Rated  by LMAnthony on 9/26/2006 It doesn't taste quite like Outback's but pretty close. It is VERY good. I have used these spices on steak and pork chops. Both were excellent. Very juicy.
