Makes: 8 servings Total Time: 1 hr 30 min
Category: Desserts Sub Category: Other

what you need
  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 3/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup & 3 Tablespoons sugar, divided
  • 1 can (20 oz.) crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 container (12 oz.) Cool Whip Whipped Topping (thawed)
  • 1 brick (8 oz.) Philidelphia Cream Cheese, softened
make it
Combine pretzels, butter and 3 Tablespoons of sugar in a bowl. Coat pretzels evenly. Press into a 13x9 baking pan and bake for 10 minutes at 350°F. Remove from oven and cool in freezer or refrigerator.

Using an electric mixer, blend 1/2 cup sugar and cream cheese until smooth. Fold in whipped topping and pineapple. Spread across pretzel crust.

Cover and refrigerate for about one hour prior to serving.
This is a simple recipe that is great for a summertime cookout, as it takes very little time to prepare.

It is a favorite at our neighborhood parties and I usually have to make two pans.

It's not too sweet and the salty baked pretzels mixed with the pineapple fluff is amazing!
