Blueberry Pistachio Trifle

what you need
  • 2 packages Jell-O Brand Pistachio Pudding
  • Milk, for pudding (see pudding directions)
  • 2 tubs Cool Whip Whipped Topping, thawed
  • 1 pound cake, sliced into 1-inch slices
  • 2 cans blueberry pie filling

Prepare both packages of Jell-O Brand Pistachio Pudding according to directions. While making pudding, thaw 2 tubs of Cool Whip.

In a large trifle bowl, or covered container, evenly tear apart slices of pound cake in a single layer. Spread a layer of blueberry pie filling, then a layer of pistachio pudding, and a layer of Cool Whip. Continue layers until ingredients reach the top of the bowl. The final layer of Cool Whip can be "dipped" or scooped in the middle and replaced with blueberry pie filling for decoration.

Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Notes
This recipe makes a delicious dessert anytime of the year. Doubled, it makes a great dessert for group gatherings. The pie filling can also be substituted with other pie fillings, i.e. peach, cherry or apple.
