Makes: 6 servings Total Time: 1 hr
Category: Sauces/Marinades Sub Category: Sauces and Marinades

what you need
  • 1 can salmon
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • Minced garlic, as much as you want
  • Basil, oregano, onion, crushed red pepper, black pepper (all to taste)
  • 2 jars spaghetti sauce
make it
Drain the salmon & debone.

Pour olive oil into a sauce pot. Add spices to taste. Heat to medium. Add salmon, break the fish apart as it cooks.

Once cooked to satisfaction, add spaghetti sauce, stir together over medium heat. Cover and let simmer for about twenty minutes, stirring occasionally.
I started this recipe due to my blood pressure. The salmon was a good substitute for beef or pork. Feel free to add your favorite ingredients. Ricotta cheese is good also.

For extra taste, add a stick of butter and basil to your noodles along with some grated cheese if you wish.
