"Halmonburger" aka the "Salmon Beefburger"

what you need
  • 1 pound lean ground beef, chuck, or sirloin
  • 2 tsp. fresh parsley
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 fresh wild salmon filets
  • 2 Tbsp. Kraft Light Mayonnaise
  • 4 Whole Wheat buns
  • 4 Kraft Swiss Cheese Singles
  • Large head romaine lettuce

If you are planning to use a propane grill to cook the meats, you need to light the grill 20 minutes prior to allow time for it to heat up. Alternatively, the meats can be cooked in an oven using the broil feature.

In a large metal bowl, add ground beef, chopped fresh parsley, and Worcestershire sauce and mix thoroughly. Form four equal-sized patties and place on wax paper. Using a brush, apply olive oil to the salmon filets and place on the wax paper as well. Spread the patties evenly out on either the grill (or the cooking sheet, if using an oven) and allow to cook 15-20 minutes until firm, turning over every 5 minutes.

While allowing another 5 minutes to cool, spread Kraft Light Mayonnaise on the whole wheat buns. Place one burger on the buns, followed by a Kraft Swiss Cheese Single, and then half of a salmon filet. Garnish with romaine lettuce as desired, replace the top bun, and you are ready to enjoy!
Notes
Ketchup is also an enjoyable garnishment. Kraft Fat-free mayonnaise may also be substituted for the light, but I feel it imparts a subtle flavor that I'd rather leave out.
