Chocolate Mint Brownies

what you need
  • Cake:
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 can (16 oz.) Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup
  • Frosting:
  • 2 cups confectioner sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 Tablespoons Reese Crème de Menthe Syrup
  • Glaze:
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 6 Tablespoons butter

Cake:
Mix all ingredients well. Put into a greased 13 x 9 pan and bake at 350°F for 25-30 min. DO NOT OVER BAKE. Cool completely.

Frosting:
Mix and spread over cooled brownies. Refrigerate after you put the crème de menthe on.

Glaze:
Melt together in the microwave. Stir to mix: let cool slightly before spreading over frosting. Put in refrigerator to cool and cut into squares. (We like them at room temperature to serve).

Rated  by magpie3165 on 10/10/2009 This is great....actually had a request from someone to have this instead of cake on their birthday! Definitely need to use hot clean knife to cut to prevent cracking.
