what you need
  • 4 ripe bananas
  • Lemon juice
  • 2 boxes (5.1 oz. each) JELL-O Regular or Sugar Free Vanilla Instant Pudding
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 4 tablespoons spiced rum or rum extract (optional)
  • 2 tubs {8 oz. each} COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed
  • 3/4 cups milk in a shallow dish to dip your ladyfingers in
  • 1 pkg. hard ladyfingers (the kind used to make reg. tiramisu)
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

TO MAKE FILLING:
1. Mash 1 banana really well to go into the mousse like filling. The other 3 get sliced and tossed in lemon juice to prevent browning; 1 sliced banana for each layer.

2. Mix puddings and 1 1/2 cups milk in bowl until well blended. Let sit 10 minutes.

3. After 10 minutes, Add the mashed banana, rum {if using}, and the 2 tubs of Cool Whip. Stir until you see no more whipped topping and it's all mixed in...your mousse filling is done. Now you have 3 cups of mousse filling.

YOU’RE READY TO MAKE THE LAYERS:
1st layer:
Quickly dip in the 3/4 cups milk each side of each ladyfinger (like you do in reg. tiramisu). Place ladyfingers in bottom of 11x7x1.5 inch pan, top with 1 cup of mousse filling and spread over ladyfingers, top with 1 of the sliced bananas, then sprinkle with some of the mini chocolate chips.

2nd layer: Quickly dip more ladyfingers as before, and make another new layer of ladyfingers and repeat with filling, banana, and mini chocolate chips.

3rd layer: Quickly dip more ladyfingers as before, and make another new another layer of ladyfingers and repeat with filling, banana, and mini chocolate chips. You will get 3 layers total.

CHILLING:
Cover dish with plastic wrap and chill in fridge for 3 to 4 hrs. or overnight or until the lady fingers are nice and soft. (Best if made overnight.) Serve it up!!!!! YUMMY!!!!!
Notes
You can leave rum out it if you don't want it or your serving children.

If you want to you could use 3 pkg. (9 oz. each) of reg. or sugar free banana cream pudding (instead of the vanilla pudding) mixed with the 1 banana that you mash, 1 1/2 cups of milk, whipped topping, and rum if using).
