Hot Dog Chowder

what you need
  • 1 Tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 2/3 cup chopped celery
  • 2 carrots, peeled and diced
  • 2 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 can beef broth
  • 2 cans (15.5 oz. each) cannelloni beans, drained
  • 2 cans (14.5 oz. each) diced tomatoes with green pepper, celery and onion
  • 1 pound Oscar Mayer Selects, Turkey Hardwood Smoked Uncured Turkey Franks
  • 1/3 cup chopped sour dill pickle
  • ¼ teaspoon dried mustard
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon liquid smoke
make it
Melt butter in bottom of soup pan.
Add onions, celery, carrots and sauté until slightly soft.
Add rest of ingredients and bring to a boil.
Turn heat down, cover and simmer for 1 hour.
Notes
Got tired of beans and franks so I decided to use my own creativity. Glad I did - it turned out great. This will definitely become one of my go to easy meals.
