what you need
- 1 package spice cake mix
- 1 can apple pie filling
- 3 eggs
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- whipped topping
make it
Heat oven to 350.F. Grease or spray bottom only of 13"x9" pan.
Beat cake mix, pie filling and eggs in large bowl on low speed 2 minutes (batter will be thick). Spread half the batter in pan.
Stir together sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle half the mixture over batter in pan. Spread remaining batter in pan; sprinkle with remaining sugar-cinnamon mixture.
Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center come out clean. Cool, serve with whipped topping.
Notes
When I made this I used homemade pie filling and used a spoon to mix the batter with.
I also used all the cinnamon & sugar mixture in the middle of the cake and it turned out to be very moist.
