Apple Oatmeal Cake

what you need
  • 1 1/2 cups hot water
  • 4 pkg. Instant Quaker Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 squares Bakers White Chocolate, melted
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 Delicious red apples, peeled and finely chopped
  • Frosting:
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2-4 Tbsp. milk (more or less how thick you want the frosting)
make it
Mix hot water and oatmeal together and set aside. Beat white and brown sugar, oil, eggs, and white chocolate together until creamy. Mix together flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt. Add flour mix to sugar mixture. Then beat in oatmeal and vanilla. Pour into greased 9x13-inch pan.

Bake at 350°F for 35-40 minutes. While still hot, poke cake all over to make lots of holes.

Mix sugar, melted margarine, vanilla and milk together. After holes are made pour over hot cake.
