Banana Bread for Slow Cooker

what you need
  • 1/3 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup mashed ripe banana
make it
Cream together shortening and sugar; add eggs and beat well. Sift dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture alternately with banana, blended well after each addition.

Pour into well greased 4 to 6 cups mold cover with foil and tie. Pour 2 cups hot water in slow cooker. Place mold on rack or trivet in pot.

Cover and cook on high 2 to 3 hours or until bread is done.
