Banana (Nut) Bread

what you need
  • 3 very ripe bananas
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup nuts (optional)
make it
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Mash bananas into beaten eggs and margarine. Gradually add sugar, baking soda, and flour. Mix thoroughly. Fold nuts into mixture (optional).

Spray 5" x 9" loaf pan. Pour mixture into loaf pan.

Bake 1 hour; test with clean knife in center of loaf to make sure that it is baked.
Notes
Three very ripe bananas: black, soft not liquid are the key to flavor.

Recipe is over 50 years old.

Let cool 10 minutes and invert on serving dish. Wait 10 minutes or more and serve... ENJOY!!!
