what you need
- 2 to 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 pkg. (2 1/4 tsp.) rapid rising dry yeast
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2/3 cup very warm water (120-130 degrees F)
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 Tbsp. honey
make it
In large bowl, combine 2 cups flour, yeast, and salt. In 1-cup measuring cup, combine water, oil, and honey; stir into flour mixture until dough forms.
Turn dough out onto floured surface. Knead dough, adding some of remaining flour if necessary, until dough is very elastic, 10-15 minutes (dough should be soft, do not add too much flour).
Lightly oil mixing bowl. Place dough in oiled bowl, turning to bring oiled side up. Cover with clean cloth; let dough rise in warm place, away from drafts, until double in size, 30-45 min. Shape and bake following pizza instructions.
Notes
I always put on shredded mozzerella cheese and any other topping I want, pepperoni, ham, pineapples, etc. I preheat the oven to 450 degrees F or more and bake it for about 10-15 min. (or until bottom of pizza and crust are brown and cheese is melted).
