Beef Burgundy Tips

what you need
  • 1 1/2 - 2 lb. sirloin steak
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 can beef consomme
  • 1/3 cup burgundy wine
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1/4 Tbsp. onion salt
  • 8 oz. fresh mushrooms
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Rice or egg noodles
make it
Cube sirloin & cook in large skillet in melted butter just until red is gone. Add consomme, wine, soy sauce, garlic & onion salt. Stir.

Cook at medium-low for 45-60 min covered. Check & stir occasionally to be sure juice is alright. Turn down heat if juice is cooking out. Add mushrooms last 15 min.

Combine cornstarch & water; pour into skillet to thicken meat mixture. Serve with prepared rice or egg noodles. We eat it with egg noodles.

Rated  by GwenJ01 on 6/24/2013 Very easy to make. Tastes wonderful. I didn't' have burgundy wine and substituted with red cooking wine. Very tender. Made the house smell wonderful. Will diffidently make this again.
