what you need
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1 package (12 oz.) wide egg noodles, pre-cooked
- 1 package (8 oz.) Philadelphia Cream Cheese
- 1 carton (8 oz.) sour cream
- 1 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
make it
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef, and then drain. Add tomato sauce, onion, and bell pepper.
In a large bowl, combine the noodles with the cream cheese, sour cream, garlic salt, and the sugar, taking some care to not destroy the noodles.
In a 9 X 13-inch baking dish, layer half the meat mixture, then half the noodle mixture. Repeat.
Cook in the oven for, let's say........30 to 45 minutes or so at 375 degrees F. Top with shredded cheese and bake another 7 minutes. After that, it's time to grub!
Notes
Serve with a dinner salad, corn on the cob, and maybe some spinach.
