what you need
- 1 can (14 oz.) chicken broth
- 2 cans (4 oz. each) green chilies, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 celery stalk, shred with potato peeler or chop
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 carrot, shredded
- 3 green onions, chopped
- 1/2 of each: yellow, red, green peppers
- 2 tsp. cumin
- 1 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper-optional
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cilantro
- 1 tsp. oregano
- Seasoned black pepper to taste
- 2 pounds chicken breasts, cooked in water for 10 minutes then chopped
- 3-4 cans great northern beans
- 2 Tbsp. flour

Bring chicken broth and all ingredients except beans and flour to a boil then turn down and simmer for 1 hour.
Add beans and flour and cook for 30 more minutes.
Notes
I like to add a dollop of sour cream when serving.
