Makes: 55-60 balls Total Time: 1 hr 30 min
Category: Cookies Sub Category: Other

what you need
  • 1 jar (28 oz.) peanut butter (or 3 bars)
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 lb. powdered sugar
  • 1/4 bar paraffin wax
  • 1 bag (12 oz.) Baker’s Real Semi-sweet Chocolate
make it
In a big bowl mix together peanut butter, butter, & powdered sugar with hands until no longer sticky. Roll into 1 inch balls and place on cookie sheet, covered with wax paper.

Chill at least a half hour.

Next, melt wax in a 2-quart sauce pan, then add chocolate, stir together until melted. Remove from heat and dip peanut butter balls into chocolate using a fork inserted into top (do not cover whole ball with chocolate). Leave a small open area at the top showing the peanut butter (to look like a Buckeye). Place on wax paper to let harden and cool.

Rated  by VanetaRae on 12/14/2004 These melt in your mouth. Admit that rolling the balls is time consuming but if you use a cookie scoop it makes the job go much quicker. These are more of a candy than cookie and a must have for the holiday! Family and friends loved them.
