Butter Pie

what you need
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 sticks butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 can (5 oz.) Milnot, or evaporated milk
  • 5 heaping Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 frozen deep dish pie shells
make it
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Add sugar, butter, eggs, Milnot, cornstarch and vanilla into a large bowl. Mix thoroughly.

Pour equal amount into each pie shell.

Bake 30-35 minutes or till golden brown.
Best way to check pie to see if it is done is to grasp oven rack with pot holder or oven mitt and gently shake back and forth. Pies are ready when center starts to firm up.
