Butter Pound Cake

what you need
  • 1 lb. butter
  • 1 lb. confectioners' sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 2 3/4 cups sifted flour
make it
Mix butter and sugar. Add the eggs one at a time, beating after each one. Beating after each egg makes the cake come out very light. Then add vanilla and flour.

Bake in large bundt pan, well greased. Bake at 325°F for 1 hr 25 min.

While still warm sprinkle confectioners' sugar on top.

Rated  by trice23 on 5/8/2004 i think that the recipe was great!! honestly, i have tried quite a few pound cake recipes and this one is the best!!! the only thing that i did different was put an extra stick of butter in it. i am very pleased with this recipe!!
