what you need
- 16 oz. bottle Kraft Catalina Salad Dressing
- 1/2 to 1 1/2 cups your favorite hot sauce, to taste
- Family size package of whole chicken wings, or bag of frozen drumettes, thawed
make it
In medium bowl, mix entire bottle of Catalina with hot sauce. If using whole wings, cut off wing tips with knife or kitchen shears. Place wings in large bowl or zip-top bag. Pour 1/2 the sauce mixture over wings and marinate for at least one hour.
Grill the wings, basting with remaining sauce, about 30 minutes for whole wings, 20 for drummettes, or until done.
Alternately, bake in a 450 degree oven, turning and basting every 10 minutes. Broil briefly at the end of cooking to brown. This recipe can also be done with thighs and drumsticks, but the cooking time will increase.
Notes
This is a great and easy recipe! The wings come out sweet, zesty, and a little (or a lot) spicy.
Serve with blue cheese dressing and celery sticks for an appetizer, or coleslaw and potato salad for a meal. Perfect for a barbeque or tailgate party.
