Cathy's Kale Soup

what you need
  • 1 pound spicy sausage
  • 1 large box chicken stock
  • Salt & red pepper flakes
  • 1 can (12 oz.) condensed milk
  • 4-5 thin sliced potatoes
  • 1 bag chopped kale
make it
Brown sausage and mince. Drain well.

Add stock, spices & milk. Bring to a slow boil.

Add potatoes & kale. Simmer together until the potatoes are tender (2 hours or so).

Rated  by huegel2 on 8/24/2009 I followed the recipe but after I browned the sausage I put everything in the crockpot and cooked it on high for 4 hours. It came out very good but I would wait to add the evaporated milk about 1/2 way through the cooking time so it stays milk like next time. This soup had the same kind of taste as the soup from Olve Garden.
