Cheesy Mexican Hot Dish

what you need
  • 1 lb. ground beef or turkey
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 box Mexican rice
  • 1 can black beans
  • 1 can black olives (optional)
  • 1 bag Kraft Mexican Cheese
make it
Brown beef and cook with taco seasoning according to directions. Make rice according to directions, add black beans.

Put beef on the bottom of oven safe dish, add olives and 1/2 package of cheese. Next add the rice mixture and top with the rest of the cheese.

Bake in the oven at 250 degrees F for 10 to 15 min. until the cheese has melted.
Serve as a dip with chips, or with taco shells... You can also eat it as a hot dish!

Rated  by marjen4321 on 2/3/2006 I took this to a "Mexican Night" gathering at a home and was asked for the recipe. I took the leftovers to my sister-in-law's house two nights later to keep her from having to cook, and she wanted the recipe. That tells me it was good! And, I thought it was very yummy, too, as did my 4 year old!
