Chicken, Black Beans and Rice Casserole

what you need
  • 6-8 chicken legs
  • Seasoning salt
  • 1/2 - 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 small onion
  • Butter
  • 1 can black beans
  • 1-2 cups long grain rice
make it
Put chicken in skillet, add seasoning, onions and butter. Allow to cook for 45 minutes on low to medium setting.

Add beans to skillet and let simmer for about 15 minutes before adding the rice to skillet.

Cook the remainder of time on medium heat or until rice is fluffy. Allow to moderately cool before serving.
Can cook in oven at 375-400 degrees for same time following the same direction as above if like.
