Chocolate Cherry Crunch Cake

what you need
  • 1 large (1 lb. 14 oz) can cherry pie filling
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine (1 stick)
  • 1 devil's food or chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 cup Baker's Shredded Coconut, divided
make it
Spread pie filling into bottom of 8 x 12-inch pan or 9-inch square glass pan.

In large glass mixing bowl, melt butter in microwave on High for 1 minute. Add dry cake mix, nuts and 3/4 cup coconut. Mix on low speed or cut together with a fork until all cake mix is combined with butter. Sprinkle over pie filling.

Microwave on High for about 14 minutes. Turn once if necessary. Sprinkle top with remaining coconut.
This is a decadent, fudgy cake best served warm. Just spoon it out. It is so delicious.
