what you need
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1/2 cup Wesson Oil
  • 1 cup cold water
  • Flour Mixture:
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or you can use buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • Icing:
  • 5 tablespoons milk
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup nuts (optional)
  • 1 pound powdered sugar
make it
Mix margarine, cocoa, Wesson oil, and cold water in sauce pan. Bring to a boil. Pour over flour mixture and beat well. Add sour cream, vanilla and eggs. Mix well.

Bake in greased floured cookie sheet (11x17) at 375 degrees F for 20 minutes or until done. Five minutes before cake is done prepare icing.

Place milk, cocoa, and margarine in sauce pan. Bring to boil. Add vanilla, nuts, and powdered sugar. Beat, pour over hot cake.
Make sure you use a cookie sheet with sides. I use Pam cooking spray instead of greasing and flouring the pan.
