Makes: 6 cups Total Time: 25 min
Category: Appetizers Sub Category: Mexican Dips

what you need
  • 1 pound lean hamburger
  • 1 package Old Timer Chorizo
  • 1 small box Velveeta Mexican Style Cheese
  • 1 medium bottle salsa
  • 1 large package tortilla chips
make it
Brown hamburger in large fry pan, peel the casing off of the chorizo and crumble into the hamburger, stir all together until chorizo is cooked.

In crock-pot cut up Velveeta and add to pot along with the bottle of salsa. When hamburger mixture is cooked, add it to cheese mixture in Crock-Pot and stir.

Cook on high for 20 minutes then stir and turn to low. Eat with tortilla chips.
Just as good when reheated.

The chorizo tends to be greasy that’s why lean hamburger is used. Be sure to put hamburger and chorizo mix in a strainer to remove any grease before adding to cheese mixture.

Old Timer is the best brand to use for this recipe.
