Makes: 4 to 6 servings Total Time: 6 hr
Category: Dinner Entrees Sub Category: Chicken & Turkey Entrees

what you need
  • 1 or 2 cans cream of mushroom soup (depends how big your crock-pot is but I like 2 cans)
  • 1 pouch onion soup mix
  • 1 whole chicken, cleaned
  • 1 pkg. wide egg noodles
make it
Put cream of mushroom soup in crock-pot. Open dry soup mix and pour into sifter over the crock-pot so that the seasoning goes into the crock but not the onions. Mix together well. Put chicken in the mix.

Cook on high 5 to 6 hours or on low 8 hours. Remove chicken and take off the bone. Stir gravy in crock-pot to check for small bones. Put deboned, pulled apart chicken back in gravy in crock-pot.

Boil noodles separately. Serve chicken & gravy over noodles.
Notes
This is really good with mashed potatoes and green beans on the side.

Rated  by jodithomas on 9/29/2010 I thought this was a great easy recipe! I used bone-in chicken breast and cream of chicken soup. The meat was so tender it fell right off the bone.
