Makes: 8 servings Total Time: 20 min
Category: Appetizers Sub Category: Other Hot Appetizers

what you need
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. black pepper
  • 2 cups panko (Japanese bread crumbs)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3 cups dill pickle chips, drained
  • 2 cups vegetable oils
make it
Combine flour, salt and pepper in a bowl or pie pan mix well. Put bread crumbs in another bowl. Whisk the eggs and water together in another bowl.

Heat deep fryer to 350°F. Roll the pickles in the flour, a few at a time, drop them in the egg wash, and then into the bread crumbs -- coat well.

Drop chips in the oil; make sure to keep them separated. Cook for 2-3 min. till golden brown. Drain and serve with whatever dipping sauce sounds good, ranch maybe. ENJOY!!
This is not my recipe -- I got it from a magazine.

Rated  by hollyb23 on 4/10/2009 The pickles turned out just like the ones I've had a at restaurant. I used Crisco shortening instead of vegetable oil to fry them. Thank you!
