what you need
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 pound lean ground pork
  • 1 pound ground veal
  • 1 can Hunts Tomato Sauce for Meatloaf
  • 1 tsp. Italian seasoning mix
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. basil
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 cup fresh bread crumbs
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
make it
Turn oven on 350 degrees F to preheat. Remove rings and wash hands carefully. Mix the 3 chopped meats together completely. Add tomato sauce, seasonings, egg, bread crumbs and chopped onion.

Mix completely by hand, form into 3 loaves and put in a roasting pan (13 x 9 approx.) you can spray with Pam or line with foil.

Bake 45 minutes. Serve one loaf sliced with baked or mashed potato, a green vegetable and/or salad. When cooled, wrap other 2 loaves in foil and freeze for another day.
Hunts Food is the only brand that makes a meatloaf tomato sauce. If not available in your area, use tomato sauce with onions and green peppers.
