Easy Caramel Cake

what you need
  • 1 box Duncan Hines chocolate cake mix
  • 1 stick butter/margarine
  • 1 bag (14 oz.) Kraft Caramels
  • 1 can pet sweet condensed milk
  • 1 cup Planters Chopped Pecans

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 9 x 13 in. metal baking pan.

In a large bowl, prepare cake mix as instructed on the box. Pour 2 cups of batter into the prepared cake pan. Bake for 15 minutes.

While cake is baking, in a sauce pan melt butter and caramels, constantly stirring until blended well. Remove from heat and instantly add sweet milk. Stirring well. Pour over cooked cake.

Immediately spread remainder of cake batter over caramel mixture. Top with nuts. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
