Makes: 6 servings (1 to1 1/2 cups) Total Time: 1 hr 20 min
Category: Dinner Entrees Sub Category: Pasta Entrees

what you need
  • 3/4 pound ground beef
  • 3/4 pound sausage
  • 1 jar super vegetable spaghetti sauce
  • 1 box lasagna noodles (uncooked)
  • 1 container (16 oz.) Breakstone’s Cottage Cheese
  • 2 cups Kraft Mozzarella Cheese, divided
  • 2 cups Kraft Mild Cheddar Cheese, divided
  • Garlic salt (to taste)
make it
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and get a 9x13 glass pan.
2. Brown and drain ground beef and the sausage.
3. Add spaghetti sauce to the meat. Simmer about 5 minutes.
4. Spoon a little sauce on the bottom of the pan.
5. Take 3 uncooked lasagna noodles out of the box and lay across the bottom of the pan.
6. Pour 1/2 of the meat mixture on top of the noodles.
7. Scoop half of the cottage cheese on top of the meat.
8. Put 1 cup of mozzarella and 1 cup mild cheddar cheese on top of cottage cheese (use your hand and mash down a little).
9. Repeat steps 5-8.
10. Add a little garlic salt on top.
11. Bake 50-60 minutes.
This recipe is better if made the night before, and it also reduces the cooking time to 45-50 minutes. You can make this with just hamburger meat as well.
