Fezziwig Barbeque Sauce (Fig BBQ Sauce)

what you need
  • 1/2 bottle smoky BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 jar fig preserves
  • 2 big scoops minced garlic
  • 2 squirts Dijon mustard
  • Dash onion powder
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Tomato jalapeno pepper relish (optional)
make it
Put all ingredients in a food processor or blender, then blend for a minute....You can add more of less of any ingredient to adjust for personal taste.

Add the pepper relish if you want a kick, or any hot sauce will do.

Cook meat till it has about 15 mins left, then add some sauce. Cook till about 5 mins left, add more sauce, and turn on the broiler to caramelize. Serve with any leftover sauce if you like.
This is SO AMAZING. I made it up one night when I ran out of jelly. I had no idea, but when I googled it just now, Martha Stewart also has a recipe. Hers is more complicated though, this is simple. The best for pork ribs!!!
