Fred's Choke'n Chocolate Pie

what you need
  • 24 lg. Kraft marshmallows
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 12 oz. bag semi-sweet chocolate morsels
  • 1 pint heavy whipping cream
  • 1/3 cube margarine
  • 2/3 lb. chocolate wafer cookies (crushed or shredded)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 tbsp. powdered sugar
  • 1 chocolate truffle
make it
In 2 quart sauce pan melt marshmallows into milk over low heat. Remove from heat and mix in semi-sweet morsels, blend well then set in fridge to cool.

In mixer whip heavy whipping cream till stiff. Add about 3/4 of the stiffened cream to the cooled chocolate/marshmallow mixture and blend till consistent and set back in fridge.

Next, soften margarine and add to shredded cookies, and mold into pie pan as a crust. Add mixture to pie shell. Return to fridge.

Take remaining whipped cream and whip in vanilla and sugar then layer on top of pie. Very thinly slice truffle and sprinkle on top, chill for one hour and serve.
Notes
If you like chocolate pie then I probably ruined your day because this pie takes the cake!

Rated  by a cook on 11/26/2009 Have made this pie several times - love it. It is hard to go back to a regular chocolate pie after eating this one. Very rich - small pieces are good. Very addicting.
