what you need
  • 4 boneless pork loin chops (about 1 lb. trimmed)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, slivered
  • 1 can (14 oz.) beef broth, divided
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine (optional)
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
make it
Season both side of pork with salt and pepper. In large nonstick skillet, heat oil over med-high heat. Add onion; cover and cook, stirring occasionally until softened, about 2 to 3 minutes. Uncover and cook until golden brown, about 3 minutes. Add garlic. Push onion and garlic to sides of pan.

Add pork; cook until browned, about 2 to 3 minutes per side. Reserve 1/2 cup of the broth. Add remaining broth, wine and Worcestershire sauce to skillet; bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until pork is tender and internal temp is 155 degree; about 5-7 minutes. Transfer meat to platter.

Stir flour into reserved broth. Bring liquid in pan to a boil over med-high heat. Slowly whisk in flour mixture. Cook, whisking frequently until thickened about 1 to 2 minutes.
For tender pork chops every time, cook them quickly to an internal temperature of 155 F.

You'll want mashed potatoes on the side to capture every bite of the delicious onion gravy.
