German Cabbage

what you need
  • 1 med. head cabbage
  • 6 slices Oscar Mayer Bacon
  • 1 med. onion, sliced
  • 1 or 2 potatoes, sliced
  • Salt and pepper
make it
Shred desired amount of cabbage. Fry bacon in large pot (Dutch oven), remove from pot, set aside.

Leaving the bacon fat in pot, add shredded cabbage, sliced onion and sliced potatoes (in order). Add a few tablespoons of water to pot and cover.

Cook until the cabbage is tender and potatoes are done. Crumble the cooked bacon on top and serve. Salt and pepper to taste.
