German Chocolate Pound Cake (Icing in the Cake)

what you need
  • 1 box (18.25 oz.) Betty Crocker German Chocolate Cake Mix
  • 1 can (15 oz.) coconut-pecan frosting
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 cup water
make it
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour 12 cup tube pan or Bundt pan. Mix all ingredients (including the icing), in mixer at medium speed 2 minutes. Pour into prepared pan.

Bake 55-60 minutes.

Remove from oven to wire rack and allow cooling for 10 minutes. Invert onto serving plate and dust with powdered sugar or sift small amount cocoa over top of cake.
Notes
This makes a large cake, be sure to use the large 12 cup pan.

Rated  by magnoliatn21 on 4/6/2006 A MUST TRY!!! Instead of a bundt pan, I used a 11 X 15 rectangular glass baking dish. It took less time to bake and was easy to transport to work...everyone loved it!
