Makes: 8 manicotti Total Time: 1 hr 45 min
Category: Dinner Entrees Sub Category: Pasta Entrees

what you need
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 Tbsp. minced onion
  • 3 cups finely shredded Italian cheese blend or mozzarella, divided
  • 1 Tbsp. garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp. oregano
  • 3/4 cup Italian dressing
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce (I use a 3-cheese blend)
  • 8 uncooked manicotti
make it
Preheat oven to 350.

Brown beef in skillet with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and minced onion. Drain grease and return beef to skillet. Remove from heat.

Blend in 2 cups Italian cheese blend or mozzarella along with garlic powder, oregano and Italian dressing.

Pour enough spaghetti sauce into 9x9 pan to cover bottom generously. Stuff each UNCOOKED manicotti with meat/cheese mixture until full.

Place side by side in pan and pour the rest of the spaghetti sauce over stuffed manicotti. Top with remaining cup of cheese.

Cover with aluminum foil and bake in oven for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Notes
You can customize this recipe by adding real onion, green pepper, or mushrooms - or double it for bigger crowds - whatever you choose!

My boyfriend is a really picky eater, I made this recipe up last week and tried it and he went back for not only seconds but thirds and wants me to make it again this week! I was even impressed myself thinking dang this is really good!

I've got to share this recipe! Try it, rate it and let me know what you think. It's super easy since you don't have to pre-cook the manicotti and it tastes gourmet!
