Category: Sandwiches Sub Category: Sandwiches

what you need
  • 1 box Kraft Macaroni & Cheese
  • 12 slices bread (for 6 sandwiches)
  • 4 Tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
  • Kraft Singles (optional)
make it
Prepare Kraft Macaroni and Cheese according to box directions. Set aside off burner.

Prepare skillet or griddle on medium heat. Soften butter or margarine to spreading consistency. Butter one side of each slice of bread. Place one slice butter side down on griddle. Place 1 to 2 tablespoons of Mac and Cheese on bread. (Optional: place extra slice of cheese on top of mac and cheese.) Place second slice of bread on top butter side up.

Brown on each side. (Just like grilled cheese.)
My Grandchildren like Mac and Cheese and love this twist on grilled cheese sandwich. Very hearty and served with soup. A meal ready for the cold snowy days.
