what you need
- 3 large potatoes, peeled and diced bite size
- 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1/4 cup fresh garlic, finely diced
- 1 Tablespoon minced green pepper
- 1/2 Tablespoon salt
- 1/2 Tablespoon black pepper
- 2 - 3 Tablespoons margarine or butter
- 3 - 4 Tablespoons shredded cheese (your flavor)
make it
Peel, dice and put on to boil potatoes in pot, before preparing ground beef mixture below.
Mix ground beef in mixing bowl with following ingredients: onions, garlic, green pepper, salt, and pepper, mixing with hands. After thoroughly combining ground beef mixture, mash evenly in and across large skillet and brown, cutting and flipping mixture so it cooks evenly through until done. Drain and cut the browned mixture into bite size pieces while hot and leave in skillet.
When potatoes are tender, but not mushy, drain and pour over ground beef into skillet, adding margarine/butter, and shredded cheese.
Thoroughly mix everything together, and serve by itself, with hot bread/rolls, or pour into a double pie crust and bake until the top crust is golden, or serve with a green salad.

If you want something a little spicier, add a little hot pepper flakes when mixing, or add tabasco or hot sauce to taste.
