what you need
- 2 cups shoyu/soy sauce (aloha shoyu preferred)
- 2 tsp. grounded ginger
- 2 stalks chopped green onion (optional)
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 lbs. (about 20 pieces) bite-size chicken wings
make it
1. Mix together in a pot shoyu/soy sauce, ginger, green onion, and sugar.
2. Cook on medium heat until it starts to boil.
3. Put the chicken into the pot and reduce heat to a simmer.
4. Cover and simmer for 50 minutes.
Notes
*Make sure when you cover the pot you don't cover it totally, leaving a slight pocket for air to travel through (otherwise, it will boil over)
*Goes well with rice (Calrose medium grain)
