Herb Roasted Turkey with Sausage and Apples

what you need
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1/2 lb. favorite sausage
  • 2 Granny Smith apples, cored and sliced
  • Fresh basil and sage, finely chopped
  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 2 boneless turkey breasts with the skin
make it
Line your roasting pan with aluminum foil. Pour your olive oil into the pan and spread it around evenly to coat. Slice your sausage into 1/2 slices and lay in the pan. Add sliced apples to the bottom of the pan.

Mix your fresh herbs with the softened butter. Separate the skin from the breast and spread 1/2 of the butter and herb mixture. Replace the skin. With a basting brush, spread a thin layer of the butter and herb mixture to baste. Lay the turkey breast, skin side up over the apples and sausage.

Cover with aluminum foil and place in the oven at 350 degrees F for 1 1/2 hours. Baste turkey every 1/2 hour for added flavor. Remove foil for the last half hour to brown the skin. Enjoy!
