Hidden Cheeseburger

what you need
  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon catsup
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 small dill pickles finely diced (about 2 tablespoons)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 slices American cheese
  • 1 pound bread dough
make it
Set aside the sliced cheese and bread dough. Mix all other ingredients and form 4 hamburger patties. Fry them in olive oil until done to your likeness.

Divide the bread dough into 4 equal parts. On floured surface, roll each part into a rectangle. Put one slice of cheese on the end of each rectangle. Put a hamburger on top of cheese and then another slice of cheese. Fold the bread over the top and fold under the burger. Then draw the dough up from the bottom over the top of the burger and seal it well. Put them seam side down on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Brush them each with butter and let them raise in a warm area for 20 minutes.

Bake in the oven for 20 minutes at 425°F or until the bread has browned well.
