what you need
  • 1-1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped into small chunks
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 can mixed vegetables
  • 1 can potatoes (or 2 cups of diced potato
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 Tablespoon Kitchen Bouquet
  • 2 cups water

In Dutch oven or large saucepan, combine ground beef, onion, salt and pepper; cook over medium heat until beef is no longer pink. Drain.

Add vegetables, Kitchen Bouquet and water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 15 to 20 minutes or until vegetables are almost tender.
Notes
This recipe is made with the expectation of power outages. We can quickly fry the meat on the stove or move it to the grill and add the rest of the ingredients to the Dutch oven.
